HCJB-TV

El 10 de agosto de 1959, HCJB hizo la primera transmisión por televisión en el país de Ecuador.

Muchos esperaban la llegada de la televisión. Más de 250 televisores se habían vendido antes de la primera difusión.

La gente, en su casa o donde quiera, se reunía frente al televisor. Algunos restaurantes, incluso, ofrecían a sus clientes la posibilidad de disfrutar de una cena, mientras veían a HCJB por televisión.

HCJB-TV

On August 10, 1959, HCJB made the first television broadcast in the country of Ecuador.

Many in Quito were eagerly awaiting the arrival of television. More than 250 TV sets had been sold before the first broadcast.

People crowded around televisions in homes or wherever they could find one. Some restaurants even advertised that their customers could watch HCJB-TV while enjoying dinner.
